It is not usual for women to lead a construction. Cheb pedestrian zone reconstruction was entrusted to Monika Štádlerová who the previous four years worked as supervisor at the road by-pass in Aš and at Goethova Street reconstruction in Cheb. "I am not such a rarity, I have heard about several colleagues - women", a woman says, who manages up to forty builders in this present project. "We do not have any communication problems", she claims. The pedestrian zone reconstruction is being done in full operation. How is it, to work and be watched by so many people?

"Some people have various notices, critical or honourable, and of course, like everywhere, there are people who complain about everything", Štádlerová remembers and adds that in the first stage there was a huge pressure from businessmen. "Sometimes it was very hard for the builders, but on the other hand, I can understand the businessmen, they were impatient and could not see the result in a short time, "Štádlerová remembers. The second stage is different, according to her. "Maybe it is because people and businessmen can see the result of the previous stage. However, there still are some complaints, and some of them are competent. When these people come and tell me, the problems are solved."
The plans to go on after the Christmas break cannot be observed because of weather. Decision concerning progress of the construction should be made on Thursday, 4th February.
