Pedestrian zone reconstruction continues with laying the pavement which is light colour like the one in the first sector. According to the architects, the pavement will receive interesting patina as it will grow older. The general impression can be disturbed by dirty spots caused by stock cars and other reasons.

Cleaning the worst spots in the sector from former Bata store to the Savings Bank was done last year in autumn. However, detergents prescribed in operating rules did not prove good. At recently repeated cleaning better results were achieved, but not completely satisfying. Chetes, technical and cleaning company in Cheb which ensures the cleaning, ordered a show of a special cleaning machine which should be able to clean the pavement in a satisfactory way and remove all kinds of dirty spots.
 "The machine cleans the area in strips with pressurized hot water with detergent," Zdeněk Pavlík, technical assistant of Chetes said and added that about contingent order or purchase of the machine will be decided after having results of the tests.
As well as in the already finished sector of the pedestrian zone also in the new sector the regular manual cleansing and removing chewing gum with steam machine will be ensured by Chetes.
