The reconstructed pedestrian zone attracts both tourists and local people mostly at the weekends. For example, front yards at restaurants and cafés were crowded last Saturday. Continuing work in near Májová Street is going to demand complete closure of this street in the days of 8 to 14 October.

"We are proceeding according to the schedule. Installation of kerbs on the left side of the street, laying construction layers and in the end laying the pavement is planned," construction manager Monika Štádlerová informed.
The builders should leave Májová Street where now the traffic is lead in one direction, until the end of next month. In connection with finishing the work, traffic will be completely closed in the section from the crossroad with Dukelská Street as far as to the crossroad with Mánesova Street from Friday, 8 October to Thursday, 14 October.
